1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 361 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 1-4 recognize the administrators and students from Texas Lutheran 1-5 University of Seguin, who are visiting the State Capitol on 1-6 February 27, 2001; and 1-7 WHEREAS, These distinguished visitors will visit both the 1-8 Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate while touring 1-9 the magnificent Capitol building; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The purpose of the visit is to allow the students 1-11 the opportunity to meet and visit with their legislators to discuss 1-12 the Tuition Equalization Grant; and 1-13 WHEREAS, As these fine young men and women grow to adulthood, 1-14 it is important that they take an active part in the government of 1-15 their state and to make informed choices when voting for those 1-16 public servants who will make the decisions that will affect their 1-17 lives; and 1-18 WHEREAS, It is a special privilege for the Texas Senate to 1-19 recognize these young leaders of tomorrow and to extend best wishes 1-20 to them for a most enjoyable and informative lesson on the workings 2-1 of our state government; and 2-2 WHEREAS, The Texas Senate extends a warm welcome to Senior 2-3 Vice President for University Relations Steve Anderson and to the 2-4 students from Texas Lutheran University; now, therefore, be it 2-5 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-6 77th Legislature, hereby commend the visitors from Texas Lutheran 2-7 University for their interest in their state government; and, be it 2-8 further 2-9 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-10 this notable group as an expression of high regard from the 2-11 Texas Senate. 2-12 Zaffirini 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 President of the Senate 2-15 I hereby certify that the above 2-16 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-17 on February 26, 2001. 2-18 ______________________________________ 2-19 Secretary of the Senate 2-20 ______________________________________ 2-21 Member, Texas Senate
