1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 396 1-3 WHEREAS, Since the enactment of Senate Bill 1 by the 1-4 75th Texas Legislature, more than 450 Texans have given generously 1-5 of their time and expertise to prepare regional water plans, and 1-6 their significant efforts are most deserving of recognition; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Working under strict time and budgetary 1-8 constraints, board members of the 16 regional water planning 1-9 groups have completed the extraordinary task of developing 1-10 plans to resolve the water challenges facing Texas, and their 1-11 findings will become the foundation for the 2002 State Water 1-12 Plan; and 1-13 WHEREAS, The intent of the legislature in Senate Bill 1 1-14 was for the regional water plans to be developed locally; the 1-15 men and women involved in this undertaking have demonstrated 1-16 tremendous commitment and focus in completing their critical 1-17 task, and it is most appropriate to honor their grassroots 1-18 efforts at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-20 77th Legislature, hereby commend all persons who have served on 2-1 a regional water planning group for their noteworthy contributions 2-2 to the State of Texas and extend to them sincere best wishes for 2-3 success in all of their future endeavors. 2-4 Brown 2-5 ______________________________________ 2-6 President of the Senate 2-7 I hereby certify that the above 2-8 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-9 on March 7, 2001. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 Secretary of the Senate 2-12 ______________________________________ 2-13 Member, Texas Senate
