 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 418
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
 1-4     recognize Plano Chief of Police Bruce D. Glasscock for his
 1-5     outstanding career of 30 years in municipal law enforcement; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Chief Glasscock's untiring efforts to combat
 1-7     crime in Plano underscore his commitment to making the streets of
 1-8     Plano a safer place to live, work, and raise a family; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, A man of great ability and unquestioned integrity,
1-10     Chief Glasscock earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice
1-11     management and a master's degree in public administration; and
1-12           WHEREAS, This dedicated lawman is a graduate of the
1-13     Federal Bureau of Investigation's Law Enforcement Executive
1-14     Development Program and the Police Executive Research Forum's
1-15     Senior Management Institute; and
1-16           WHEREAS, In 1994 Chief Glasscock was elected to the board
1-17     of officers of the International Association of Chiefs of Police,
1-18     whose leadership is composed of the operating chief executives of
1-19     international, federal, state, and local agencies; and
1-20           WHEREAS, This year, Chief Glasscock's dedication and
1-21     commitment were recognized at the 107th annual conference of
1-22     the International Association of Chiefs of Police when he was
 2-1     selected president of this prestigious association; and
 2-2           WHEREAS, With a great degree of professionalism,
 2-3     Chief Glasscock has unselfishly contributed his time and
 2-4     energy to further establishment of high professional standards
 2-5     of conduct and performance for all law enforcement personnel;
 2-6     now, therefore, be it
 2-7           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-8     77th Legislature, hereby congratulate and commend
 2-9     Plano Chief of Police Bruce D. Glasscock for his superb
2-10     achievements in his 30-year career; and, be it further
2-11           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
2-12     for him as an expression of highest esteem and regard from
2-13     the Texas Senate.
