1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 501 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-4 recognize Juan J. Naredo, who is retiring on March 31, 2001, 1-5 after more than 28 years of dedicated service to the citizens 1-6 of Texas; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Beginning his tenure with the state at the Abilene 1-8 State School in November, 1974, Mr. Naredo transferred to the 1-9 Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts in September, 1977; 1-10 and 1-11 WHEREAS, Since that time, he has been a valued employee 1-12 who performed beneficial functions for the comptroller's office; 1-13 his varied and notable achievements as an Abilene field office 1-14 tax auditor have contributed immensely to the growth and progress 1-15 of the State of Texas; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Throughout his outstanding career he has set a 1-17 high standard of professionalism, inspiring others by his loyalty, 1-18 dependability, and exemplary conduct; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Since their marriage 20 years ago, Mr. Naredo has 1-20 benefitted immeasurably from the love and support of his wife, 2-1 Sylvia; and 2-2 WHEREAS, Juan Naredo is widely respected by his colleagues 2-3 for his diligence and dedication, and his presence at the 2-4 Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly 2-5 missed; now, therefore, be it 2-6 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-7 77th Legislature, hereby express its gratitude to Juan J.
