1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 507 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great 1-4 pleasure in congratulating the four members of the Spirit of 1-5 Waxahachie Indian Marching Band who were selected to perform 1-6 in the Texas All-State Band; and 1-7 WHEREAS, The brilliant performance at the final competition 1-8 earned J.D. Boze, Tony Grigsby, Geneva Mouser, and Alexa Mouser 1-9 the distinction of attaining this highest standard of excellence 1-10 for high school band members; and 1-11 WHEREAS, The first foursome to achieve this honor in the 1-12 history of Waxahachie High School, these talented young musicians 1-13 will be remembered for having distinguished themselves and the 1-14 school; and 1-15 WHEREAS, The remarkable accomplishment of these band members 1-16 is due in large measure to the musicianship of their outstanding 1-17 director, Bennie Davis, who believes in developing discipline and 1-18 responsibility in his band members; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Their determination and hard work have brought them 1-20 a sense of accomplishment and pride that is shared by the faculty, 2-1 students, parents, and Waxahachie community; now, therefore, be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-3 77th Legislature, hereby congratulate J.D.
