1-1 1 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 521 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas proudly pays 1-4 tribute to the members of the Texas Federation of Republican Women 1-5 for their exceptional efforts on behalf of the candidates of the 1-6 Republican Party; and 1-7 WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Federation of Republican 1-8 Women have provided a political education forum for women and 1-9 have volunteered countless hours to the campaigns of Republican 1-10 Party candidates; and 1-11 WHEREAS, The dedication, hard work, and perseverance of 1-12 these remarkable women helped ensure the election of their 1-13 candidates to city, county, state, and national offices; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Their outstanding accomplishments have increased 1-15 the political awareness and effectiveness of thousands of women 1-16 by persuading them that their participation in the political 1-17 process is important and makes a difference; and 1-18 WHEREAS, In 1999, Governor George W. Bush paid a glowing 1-19 tribute to the women of the federation when he stated, "You 1-20 are a tremendous source of strength for our party. The growth 1-21 of the Republican Party in Texas has been done, in large measure, 1-22 to your hard work, dedication, and leadership.
