 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 544
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
 1-4     recognize the Llano High School girls cross country team for its
 1-5     outstanding performance at the Conference AAA meet; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, The Lady Yellowjackets exhibited perseverance, team
 1-7     unity, and respect for the highest ideals of American sportsmanship
 1-8     in their victory quest; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, The well-disciplined star competitors consistently
1-10     demonstrated their athletic prowess throughout the competition
1-11     bringing honor to themselves and their community; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Under the leadership of coaches Steve Goldman and
1-13     Jacquetta Brown the girls showed how determination and hard
1-14     work can lead to a championship title; and
1-15           WHEREAS, The Lady Yellowjackets Lacey Leifeste, Sarah Barkley,
1-16     Tiffany Kaspar, Jordana Rode, Courtney Mitchell, Ashley Eldridge,
1-17     and Lauren Coats, have brought Llano High School well-deserved
1-18     recognition and honor; now, therefore, be it
1-19           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-1     77th Legislature, hereby congratulate the Llano High School
 2-2     girls cross country team on its exceptional accomplishments and on
 2-3     winning the Conference AAA championship title; and, be it further
 2-4           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
 2-5     team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
