1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 622 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is extremely proud 1-4 to recognize Adrianne Marie Peck, who is retiring after more than 1-5 31 years of dedicated service to the University of Houston; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Starting as a Teacher's Certification Analyst for 1-7 the university in September, 1969, Adrianne has steadily advanced 1-8 her position to become Associate Athletic Director, Business 1-9 Services; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The valuable knowledge she has derived from her 1-11 direct involvement in so many areas has enabled her to contribute 1-12 extensively to the smooth and efficient operations of the 1-13 university; and 1-14 WHEREAS, The varied and worthwhile interests she acquired 1-15 while at the university led to her involvement in the National 1-16 Association of College and University Business Officers, the 1-17 National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, the 1-18 Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel 1-19 Administrators, and the University of Houston Academic and 1-20 Professional Women's Association; and 1-21 WHEREAS, She also donates her time to various University of 1-22 Houston committees including Policy Review, Campus Master Plan, 2-1 Status of Women, and the Technical and Office Task Force; and 2-2 WHEREAS, Recognized for her exceptional capabilities, 2-3 Adrianne Marie Peck has been the recipient of awards and 2-4 certificates from United Way, the Student's Association, and 2-5 the University Center Policy Board; and 2-6 WHEREAS, The University of Houston and the State of Texas 2-7 have benefitted enormously from the contributions and expertise 2-8 of this illustrious public servant who has conscientiously 2-9 discharged her duties in an exemplary manner; now, therefore, 2-10 be it 2-11 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-12 77th Legislature, hereby commend Adrianne Marie Peck 2-13 for her more than 31 years of exceptional service to the 2-14 University of Houston and extend all best wishes for a 2-15 most rewarding retirement; and, be it further 2-16 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-17 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-18 Ellis 2-19 ______________________________________ 2-20 President of the Senate 2-21 I hereby certify that the above 2-22 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-23 on April 2, 2001. 2-24 ______________________________________ 2-25 Secretary of the Senate 2-26 ______________________________________ 2-27 Member, Texas Senate
