 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 639
 1-3           WHEREAS, Mildred E. Nalls and Billy H. Fannin placed great
 1-4     faith and trust in the future when they married on March 17, 1951,
 1-5     and they have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their
 1-6     golden wedding anniversary; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
 1-8     of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Fannin, of Greenville, Texas,
 1-9     have steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
1-11     love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
1-12     sorrows of everyday living; and
1-13           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Fannin have been blessed with a
1-14     wonderful family; their children, Debi and Frank Kuhlmann and
1-15     Tony and Kimberley Fannin, and their five grandchildren and four
1-16     great-grandchildren have been a source of much pride and joy; and
1-17           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Fannin are both retired and are
1-18     exemplary citizens and devout Christians who attend Saint William's
1-19     Catholic Church; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Fannin is
 2-2     truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-4     77th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
 2-5     Mr. and Mrs. Billy H. Fannin on their 50th wedding anniversary;
 2-6     and, be it further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 2-8     this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
 2-9     their lives.
