 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 676
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Texas Senate takes pleasure in joining
 1-4     with all those associated with Septon Company of America in
 1-5     commemorating the groundbreaking of its new facility in Pasadena
 1-6     on April 9, 2001; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, Scheduled to come on line in the fall of
 1-8     2002, the plant will produce thermoplastic elastomer, a more
 1-9     environmentally friendly synthetic rubber of superior elasticity,
1-10     and will have a projected annual capacity of 12,000 tons; and
1-11           WHEREAS, The rubber products to be manufactured at the
1-12     plant will contribute to the lives of countless consumers
1-13     and will be used in a wide range of products, including car
1-14     interiors, electrical appliances, housing materials, toys,
1-15     tools, stationery, food packaging, and medical equipment; and
1-16           WHEREAS, This outstanding new facility will be a
1-17     significant asset to the Pasadena area, and it is indeed
1-18     appropriate that all those associated with the project be
1-19     commended at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-1     77th Legislature, hereby congratulate the officers and staff
 2-2     of Septon Company of America on the groundbreaking of the new
 2-3     plant in Pasadena and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 2-4     success in this worthy venture; and, be it further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
 2-6     prepared for Septon Company of America as an expression of high
 2-7     regard from the Texas Senate.
