 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 730
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is proud to recognize
 1-4     Richard Adauto of El Paso for his outstanding public service on
 1-5     behalf of his city and The University of Texas at El Paso; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Mr. Adauto is chief liaison officer to
 1-7     The University of Texas System and interim vice president for
 1-8     institutional advancement at The University of Texas at El Paso;
 1-9     and
1-10           WHEREAS, A graduate of Jefferson High School, Richard
1-11     pursued his undergraduate education successfully at
1-12     The University of Texas at El Paso; he is a graduate of the
1-13     University of California at Berkeley School of Law; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Mr. Adauto is married to Pat Adauto, Director of
1-15     Planning, Research, and Development for the City of El Paso;
1-16     together they are raising her two sons; and
1-17           WHEREAS, Excellent role models for their communities,
1-18     Mr. and Mrs. Adauto participate in many activities with their
1-19     family of two boys, Frank and Danny; both professionals take
1-20     time to enter into civic activities, and they are busily
1-21     involved in the Franklin High School Band Booster Club; and
1-22           WHEREAS, Richard is an active member of the Texas Lyceum,
 2-1     a statewide leadership group, and he plays an important role in
 2-2     his community; and
 2-3           WHEREAS, An outstanding citizen who prefers to
 2-4     remain behind the scenes when possible, Richard Adauto is an
 2-5     excellent example for his stepsons to follow, and indeed,
 2-6     The University of Texas at El Paso is lucky to have a man of
 2-7     his caliber in his position; now, therefore, be it
 2-8           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-9     77th Legislature, hereby congratulate Richard Adauto on his
2-10     many contributions to his community, the City of El Paso, and
2-11     the State of Texas; and, be it further
2-12           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-13     him as an expression of highest regard from the Texas Senate.
