 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 769
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 1-4     family and friends of Ngyhia Randle of Dallas in commending
 1-5     her on receiving the prestigious Gold Award, the highest award
 1-6     in Girl Scouting; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, Ngyhia has worked diligently for this award during
 1-8     her many years in Girl Scouts and is truly deserving of the honor
 1-9     bestowed on her by the Tejas Council; and
1-10           WHEREAS, This distinguished award is coveted by Girl Scouts
1-11     throughout the United States and has special significance in our
1-12     state; and
1-13           WHEREAS, To earn the Gold Award, Ngyhia has exhibited
1-14     diligence and leadership in her community service and educational
1-15     projects; and
1-16           WHEREAS, It is heartening to know that young people are
1-17     willing to devote their time and energy in pursuit of excellence
1-18     and service to their communities; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Ngyhia's outstanding accomplishment indicates that
 2-1     she has met superbly the challenges set for her and will make
 2-2     important contributions to her community in the years ahead; now,
 2-3     therefore, be it
 2-4           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-5     77th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Ngyhia Randle
 2-6     on her noteworthy achievement; and, be it further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 2-8     Ngyhia as an expression of admiration from the Texas Senate
 2-9     with best wishes for continued success.
