 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 802
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great pride
 1-4     in recognizing Marshall Tyndall of Houston for his six years of
 1-5     superb service with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Mr. Tyndall is the highly respected Senior Program
 1-7     Director of Houston's Local Initiatives Support Corporation, an
 1-8     organization that mobilizes partnerships to rebuild deteriorated
 1-9     neighborhoods and rural areas across America; and
1-10           WHEREAS, With the aid and support of the Local Initiatives
1-11     Support Corporation, Houston's Community Development Corporations
1-12     have created more than 3,200 affordable single family and
1-13     multi-family homes; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Together with Houston Endowment, the United Way,
1-15     and the City of Houston, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation
1-16     Greater Houston Organizational Development Pilot Program supporting
1-17     22 Community Development Corporations has been launched; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Houston has contracted with Social Compact to
1-19     conduct its economic development research in four neighborhoods,
1-20     and Mr. Tyndall was instrumental in bringing these agreements into
1-21     existence; and
1-22           WHEREAS, Marshall Tyndall has impressed his fellow employees
 2-1     with his professional approach and his ability to find the best in
 2-2     everyone; and
 2-3           WHEREAS, The diligence Marshall Tyndall displayed has
 2-4     earned him the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of
 2-5     all who appreciate his admirable contributions to the Houston
 2-6     Local Initiatives Support Corporation; and
 2-7           WHEREAS, His honesty and dedication to his job are well
 2-8     known; the citizens of Texas have been truly blessed to have had
 2-9     such an able and hardworking public servant as Marshall Tyndall;
2-10     now, therefore, be it
2-11           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-12     77th Legislature, hereby congratulate Marshall Tyndall for his
2-13     meritorious service and dedication to the people of Houston; and,
2-14     be it further
2-15           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-16     him as an expression of heartfelt esteem from the Texas Senate.
