1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 890
1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great
1-4 pleasure in recognizing Sanyei Bynum, who was recently named
1-5 to the Phi Theta Kappa-Texas All-State Academic Team; and
1-6 WHEREAS, A nominee of Eastfield College, Sanyei is being
1-7 honored at the Texas Association of Community Colleges luncheon
1-8 on May 29, 2001, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin; and
1-9 WHEREAS, The Texas All-State Academic Team is comprised of
1-10 students who have exemplified academic excellence, leadership,
1-11 fellowship, and service; as nominees of their college, they
1-12 participated in the USA Today/Phi Theta Kappa Academic All-American
1-13 competition; and
1-14 WHEREAS, Sanyei Bynum is a talented and industrious student
1-15 who strives for excellence in all her endeavors; the future holds
1-16 much happiness and success for this bright and ambitious young
1-17 lady who is truly an exemplary model for students of all ages;
1-18 and
1-19 WHEREAS, The State of Texas is indeed fortunate to count
1-20 Sanyei Bynum as one of its citizens, and for her many years of
2-1 hard work and determination she is truly deserving of legislative
2-2 recognition; now, therefore, be it
2-3 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-4 77th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Sanyei Bynum
2-5 on this much-deserved honor with all best wishes for the future;
2-6 and, be it further
2-7 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-8 her as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate.
