pleasure in recognizing Teniesa Byrd for the recent honor 1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 922 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great 1-4 pleasure in recognizing Teniesa Byrd for the recent honor 1-5 bestowed upon her; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Teniesa has been selected by the Ebony Cultural 1-7 Society of Temple, Texas, to make her debut at the sixth annual 1-8 presentation being hosted on Saturday, May 12, 2001, at the Temple 1-9 College auditorium; and 1-10 WHEREAS, This lovely young lady is the daughter of 1-11 Glen and Gwendolyn Molett and her participation in the 1-12 society's etiquette and career workshops helped prepare her 1-13 for this momentous occasion; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Noted for her poise and beauty, Teniesa is a senior 1-15 at Temple High School and is highly respected by her teachers and 1-16 classmates; active in theater arts and the Air Force Junior ROTC 1-17 program, she plans to attend Baylor University; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Charming and gracious in manner and spirit, Teniesa 1-19 is truly deserving of this honor and it is appropriate that she 1-20 be given special recognition; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-2 77th Legislature, hereby congratulate Teniesa Byrd 2-3 on receiving this outstanding recognition; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-5 her as an expression of admiration and warm regards from the 2-6 Texas Senate. 2-7 Ellis 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 President of the Senate 2-10 I hereby certify that the above 2-11 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-12 on May 4, 2001. 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 Secretary of the Senate 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Member, Texas Senate
