 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 936
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure
 1-4     in recognizing the Daughters of W.A.R. on the auspicious
 1-5     occasion of its Mother and Daughter Brunch at Brady's Landing
 1-6     on May 19, 2001; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, Daughters of W.A.R. is a women's ministry that was
 1-8     founded in 1997 by Lady Belinda E. Taylor of Grace Cathedral Church
 1-9     in Houston; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Making a great impact in many women's lives, W.A.R.
1-11     sponsors women's conferences, women's retreats, and an annual
1-12     women's share night; and
1-13           WHEREAS, The Daughters of W.A.R. is a ministry that
1-14     encourages women in every city, state, and country; and
1-15           WHEREAS, The values that the ministry encourages are virtue,
1-16     accountability, leadership, understanding, excellence, and high
1-17     standards; and
1-18           WHEREAS, The goals of this worthy group are to promote the
1-19     vision, "Women Are Ready"; the principles of faith are essential
 2-1     foundations for God's continuing direction and leadership in their
 2-2     lives; now, therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-4     77th Legislature, hereby congratulate the Daughters of W.A.R.
 2-5     for their outstanding work and express best wishes for an
 2-6     enjoyable Mother and Daughter Brunch; and, be it further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 2-8     these notable women as an expression of highest regard from the
 2-9     Texas Senate.
