1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 967 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-4 recognize Lisa Nicole Linney on the auspicious occasion of 1-5 her graduation from the University of Houston this spring; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The Convocation Exercises were at 2:00 p.m. on 1-7 May 12, 2001, at the Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston; Nicole was 1-8 a candidate for the degree of bachelor of business administration 1-9 majoring in finance; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Talented and hardworking, Nicole has earned her 1-11 undergraduate degree after much hard work and energetic 1-12 application of her talents to reach her goal; she was in the 1-13 Texas Legislative Internship Program in 1999; and 1-14 WHEREAS, A respected and well-liked student, Nicole will 1-15 be missed by her classmates and by the faculty of this esteemed 1-16 institution; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Having faced the challenges of higher education 1-18 with success and distinction, Nicole has gained the confidence 1-19 necessary to succeed in anything she attempts; and 2-1 WHEREAS, Nicole's success in college bodes well for 2-2 attainment of all her ambitions; she now embarks on an 2-3 adventure for which she is well prepared and which holds 2-4 countless opportunities for her; now, therefore, be it 2-5 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-6 77th Legislature, hereby commend Lisa Nicole Linney on her 2-7 graduation from the University of Houston and wish her 2-8 success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further 2-9 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 2-10 for her as an expression of highest regard and esteem from 2-11 the Texas Senate. 2-12 Ellis 2-13 ______________________________________ 2-14 President of the Senate 2-15 I hereby certify that the above 2-16 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-17 on May 8, 2001. 2-18 ______________________________________ 2-19 Secretary of the Senate 2-20 ______________________________________ 2-21 Member, Texas Senate
