 1-2                         SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1062
 1-3           WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
 1-4     recognize Chad Dick on the auspicious occasion of his graduation
 1-5     from The University of Texas at Austin on May 18, 2001; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Talented and hardworking, Chad has earned a
 1-7     well-deserved bachelor of arts degree with a major in government
 1-8     and a minor in sociology; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Chad is a graduate of Elkins High School in
1-10     Missouri City and plans to attend either Texas Tech University
1-11     School of Law in Lubbock or South Texas School of Law in Houston;
1-12     and
1-13           WHEREAS, While a student at the university, Chad has been
1-14     employed in Senator J. E. "Buster" Brown's Capitol office, where
1-15     he is beloved and respected for his excellent work, as well as
1-16     his sense of humor, his optimistic outlook, and his enthusiasm;
1-17     and
1-18           WHEREAS, Having faced the many challenges of a college
1-19     education and having worked with the state legislature with
1-20     success and distinction, Chad now embarks on an adventure into
 2-1     a world for which he is well prepared and which holds countless
 2-2     exciting opportunities for him; now, therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-4     77th Legislature, hereby commend Chad Dick for his many
 2-5     accomplishments at the university and his successful internship
 2-6     with the Texas Legislature and extend best wishes to him for the
 2-7     future; and, be it further
 2-8           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
 2-9     as an expression of congratulations from the Texas Senate.
