1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1089 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great pride 1-4 in congratulating the members of the Bishop Thomas K. Gorman 1-5 High School 2001 girls track team on their magnificent performance 1-6 at the TAPPS 3A championship competition; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Exhibiting perseverance, team unity, and respect 1-8 for the highest ideals of American sportsmanship, the girls 1-9 captured their third consecutive TAPPS 3A championship title 1-10 on May 5, 2001; and 1-11 WHEREAS, The 35 member team will go down in the annals of 1-12 Northeast Texas high school sports history as the first team 1-13 in any sport to ever accomplish such a feat; and 1-14 WHEREAS, The extremely well-disciplined star competitors 1-15 consistently demonstrated their athletic prowess throughout the 1-16 competition and brought honor to themselves, their school, and 1-17 their community; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Under the leadership and guidance of head track 1-19 coach Reverend Jerome Milton and assistant coaches John Nash, 1-20 Kevin Hill, Anna Netera, Ryan Anderson, and Skip Hall, the girls 2-1 were instilled with the values of hard work and determination, 2-2 which they clearly exhibited on the road to this third consecutive 2-3 title; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-5 77th Legislature, hereby congratulate the members of the 2-6 Bishop Thomas K.
