 1-2                         SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1099
 1-3           WHEREAS, The marriage of two fine young people is hailed as
 1-4     a joyous event accompanied by much preparation and anticipation
 1-5     by all parties involved; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Amal Hassan and Ikram Askari will be united in
 1-7     marriage on June 8, 2001, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Downtown,
 1-8     in Houston, Texas; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, With mutual love and regard, the devoted couple
1-10     will embark on a journey that will be guided by their unfailing
1-11     belief in the future, themselves, and each other; and 
1-12           WHEREAS, The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lutfi Hassan,
1-13     the bride holds a bachelor's degree in biology and business
1-14     from Houston Baptist University; the groom is the son of
1-15     Mr. and Mrs. Hasan Askari and has a degree in geographical
1-16     information systems from Sam Houston State University; and
1-17           WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to send warmest
1-18     congratulations to Amal and Ikram as they begin their new life
1-19     together; now, therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-2     77th Legislature, hereby honor Amal Hassan and Ikram Askari on
 2-3     the special event of their marriage and extend sincere best wishes
 2-4     for the future; and, be it further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 2-6     Mr. and Mrs. Askari as an expression of esteem from the
 2-7     Texas Senate.
