No. 1231 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-1 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 77th 1-2 Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, That Senate Rule 12.03 be 1-3 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the 1-4 conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on House 1-5 Bill No. 1094, relating to the creation of a state prescription 1-6 drug program for certain Medicare beneficiaries, to consider and 1-7 take action on the following matter: 1-8 Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee to 1-9 add Subsection (c) to proposed Section 531.302, Government Code, to 1-10 read as follows: 1-11 (c) In adopting rules for the state prescription drug 1-12 program, the commission shall consult with an advisory panel 1-13 composed of an equal number of physicians, pharmacists, and 1-14 pharmacologists appointed by the commissioner. 1-15 Explanation: This change is necessary to require the Health 1-16 and Human Services Commission to consult with an advisory panel in 1-17 adopting rules for the state prescription drug program. 1-18 ______________________________________ 1-19 President of the Senate 1-20 I hereby certify that the above 1-21 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 1-22 on May 26, 2001, by the following 1-23 vote: Yeas 30, Nays 0, one present 1-24 not voting. 1-25 ______________________________________ 1-26 Secretary of the Senate
