                                  SENATE RESOLUTION
 1-1           BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 77th
 1-2     Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
 1-3     suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
 1-4     conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on House
 1-5     Bill No. 1203, relating to the purchase of certain insurance and
 1-6     surety coverage by state agencies and to workers' compensation
 1-7     insurance benefits provided by certain state agencies, to consider
 1-8     and take action on the following matters:
 1-9           (1)  Senate Rules 12.03(1) and (3) are suspended to permit
1-10     the committee to add text changing Section 412.042, Labor Code, as
1-11     amended by SECTION 1.06, House Bill No. 1203, by adding Subsection
1-12     (c) to read as follows:
1-13           (c)  On an annual basis, not later than September 30 of each
1-14     year, agencies exempt under Section 412.052 of this article shall
1-15     provide a written report to the Legislative Budget Board
1-16     identifying policies purchased under any line of insurance other
1-17     than life or health insurance.  The report should include a
1-18     description of the policy, coverage limits, deductibles, and losses
1-19     incurred under that coverage.
1-20           Explanation:  This change is necessary to ensure that the
1-21     legislature has sufficient information concerning insurance
1-22     policies purchased by state agencies.
