                                  SENATE RESOLUTION
 1-1           BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 77th
 1-2     Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
 1-3     suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
 1-4     conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on House
 1-5     Bill No. 1784, relating to the ratification, creation,
 1-6     administration, powers, duties, operation, and financing of
 1-7     groundwater conservation districts for the management of
 1-8     groundwater resources in the central Carrizo-Wilcox area, to
 1-9     consider and take action on the following matter:
1-10           Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee to
1-11     add a new subsection to Section 6.01 of the bill to read as
1-12     follows:
1-13           (d)  To the extent of any conflicts, this Act prevails over
1-14     any provision of Senate Bill No. 2, Acts of the 77th Legislature,
1-15     Regular Session, 2001.
1-16           Explanation: This subsection is needed to clarify which Act
1-17     of the 77th Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, prevails in case of
1-18     conflicting provisions in House Bill No. 1784 and Senate Bill No.
1-19     2.
