The bill would amend the Penal Code by enhancing the punishment for the
offense of possessing or promoting child pornography to either a felony
of the second degree, or a felony of the first degree, if the material
promoted by the actor is an image transmitted to a computer by telephone
line, cable, satellite transmission, or other method.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
