The bill would take effect September 1, 2001. Methodology The Commission on Private Security (CPS) estimates that 139 Letters of Authority and 278 Security Officer Commissions would no longer be applied for as a result of the provisions of this bill. Based on the fee rates that CPS charges, the agency estimates an annual loss to General Revenue of $52,800.
