The bill would amend the Penal Code by enhancing the punishment for the
offense of intoxication assault from a felony of the third degree to a
felony of the second degree if the offense results in bodily injury to
another who is a pregnant woman and causes her to suffer a miscarriage
or stillbirth.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
