Fiscal Analysis The bill would require DPS to provide information to the public relating to each fugitive from justice for whom an arrest warrant for a felony has been issued. The bill would require that this information be required without cost to the public in an on-line format. Methodology DPS estimates that providing this information to the public in an on-line format would require computer hardware at a cost of $25,000 and an additional $60,000 for firewall installation and programming, Web database programming, and for the designing, coding, and testing of the new system.
