Fiscal Analysis
The bill requires the Coordinating Board to administer and coordinate a
pilot program in Dallas, Houston, and in the counties of Cameron,

students with admission to higher education institutions and with
applications for financial aid.
The pilot program would end August 21, 2003.
Methodology
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board estimated the pilot program
would cost the Board $114,500 in fiscal 2002 and a similar amount in
fiscal year 2003.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
