The bill would amend the Penal Code by enhancing the punishment for
offenses committed for remuneration to the punishment prescribed for the
next highest category of offense. The bill would also specify conditions
in which the punishment for the offense of violation of a protective
order would be enhanced to a felony of the third degree or a felony of
the second degree. The punishment for the offense of obstruction or
retaliation would also be enhanced to a felony of the second degree or a
felony of the first degree.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
