Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
If a municipality needs an unmarked vehicle for enforcing environmental
criminal laws, they would experience the cost of purchasing a car for
such purpose or the cost of removing markings from an existing vehicle.
A used car could cost as low as $1,000 or the price of a new vehicle
could start around $15,000. Removal of an inscription or repainting a
vehicle may cost between $200 and $2,000.
