prosecution, and punishment of certain criminal offenses
involving child custody.), As Introduced

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to
definitions related to missing children. The bill would also amend the
Penal Code regarding the offense of interference with child custody, and
by making it a felony of the third degree for a person to use an
electronic communication to entice, persuade, or take a child from the
custody of the parent or guardian.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
