The bill would establish a nine-member Health Disparities Task Force to
assist the Department of Health (TDH) in eliminating health and health
access disparities in Texas among multicultural, disadvantaged, and
regional population; and to reorganize department programs to eliminate
those disparities. The task force would be administratively attached to
TDH. It is assumed TDH would absorb any administrative costs associated
with the implementation of the bill.

Reimbursement for travel and related expenses would have to be authorized
in the General Appropriations Act.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
