                    FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session

                            February 12, 2001

TO: Honorable Patricia Gray, Chair, House Committee on Public
               Health

FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE: HB768 by Maxey (Relating to an interagency coordinating
council for HIV and hepatitis.), As Introduced

* No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated *

It is assumed that the Department of Health would absorb related costs
associated with the implementation of the provisions of the bill within
existing resources. The bill would require the Interagency Coordinating
Council for HIV and Hepatitis to establish advisory committees as needed
to assist in carrying out the duties of the council. The General
Appropriations Act would have to authorize the reimbursement of travel
and related expenses for advisory committee members.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
