Local Government Impact

The bill requires school districts to provide the diabetes education
program adopted by the State Board of Education as part of the
district's health education curriculum. It is not known how many
districts have already implemented the currently adopted program, but
districts can obtain the program for a fee of $200 from the Texas
Department of Health.
