               making a false bomb threat and committing an offense
               involving a hoax bomb.), As Introduced

The bill would amend the Penal Code by enhancing the punishment for the
offense of false alarm or report from a state jail felony to a felony of
the third degree if the false report is an emergency involving a public
primary or secondary school, public communications, public
transportation, public water, gas, or power supply or other public
service.  The bill would also enhance the punishment for the offense of
hoax bombs from a Class A misdemeanor to a felony of the third degree.
  
Local Government Impact
  
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
