limitations for the presentation of certain felony

The bill would amend article 12.01, Code of Criminal Procedure to include
the following offenses under the statute of limitations set at five
years from the date of the commission of the offense for the
presentation of felony indictments: kidnapping, injury to a child,
elderly individual, or disableed individual; and abandoning or
endagering a child.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
