Local Government Impact
The bill would give the County Criminal Court No. 10 of Tarrant County
concurrent jurisdiction with County Criminal Court No. 5 (Tarrant County)
over criminal appeals and appeals of municipal ordinances from justice
and municipal courts in the county.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the necessary
two-thirds vote, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2001.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
