Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
The bill modifies Section 22.003(b) of the Education Code, allowing a
school district employee assaulted during performance of duties
recuperation leave up to a maximum period of two years. Districts could
experience increased costs for assault leave, if the number or duration
of required leave time increases.
