The provisions of the bill would provide that a victim of a sexual
assault shall be offered the opportunity to have an advocate from a
crime victim assistance program, or another representative of the
victim s choice present with the victim before conducting a forensic
medical examination.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
