Methodology The estimate assumes immediate effect. The $1 million Medicaid appropriation would draw down $1,661,957 in additional federal aid. The estimate assumes that the additional federal revenue would be received in fiscal year 2002. Local Government Impact A portion of the appropriation to the Department of Criminal Justice would be paid to counties housing state prisoners.
