LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session April 19, 2001 TO: Honorable Tom Ramsay, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: HB1350 by Brimer (Relating to the regulation of fireworks by certain counties; providing a criminal penalty.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** The bill would increase regulatory authority of fireworks in certain counties and would require the state fire marshal to send a copy of each order received from a commissioners court to each licensed manufacturer, distributor, and jobber in the affected county not later than the 30th day after the date the fire marshal receives the order. A violation of a fireworks regulation would be a Class C misdemeanor. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
