The bill would amend numerous Family Code provisions, relative to child
support enforcement. In terms of fiscal impact, the bill would
authorize the appointment of a visiting child support master in the
absence of the presiding child support master; however, the fiscal
impact of these temporary appointments would be insignificant. The
daily rate for child support masters is $293.36, $312.92, or $332.48.
The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) anticipates that any additional
workload or changes to agency procedures could be reasonably absorbed
with current resources. Further, the OAG assumes that the passage of
this bill would improve its efficiency in establishing and enforcing
child support orders.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
