The bill would amend the Government Code by establishing parole review
periods for inmates who have previously been denied parole. The bill
would only apply to inmates convicted of capital felonies, indecency
with a child involving sexual contact, aggravated sexual assault, or who
is required to serve 35 calendar years before becoming eligible for
release on parole.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
