The bill would provide for claims for economic contribution incurred
during a marriage. These provisions replace current law which provides
for claims of equitable interest of community estate in enhanced value
of separate property. Though the provisions for these two claims vary,
the nature of the claims is similar. Thus, existing resources can
accommodate claims arising from the new provisions.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
