LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session February 19, 2001 TO: Honorable Toby Goodman, Chair, House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: HB1452 by Menendez (Relating to the placement of a person on community supervision in a proceeding to enforce an order in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** The bill would provide for claims for economic contribution incurred during a marriage. These provisions replace current law which provides for claims of equitable interest of community estate in enhanced value of separate property. Though the provisions for these two claims vary, the nature of the claims is similar. Thus, existing resources can accommodate claims arising from the new provisions. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Source Agencies: LBB Staff: JK, JC, AJ
