TO: Honorable Juan Hinojosa, Chair, House Committee on

IN RE: HB1499 by Uresti (Relating to conditions imposed by a

community supervision.), Committee Report 1st House,
Substituted

* No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. *

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by setting a maximum
term of confinement of 30 days for a defendant placed on deferred
adjudication community supervision.
Local Government Impact
The 30 day maximum term of confinement required by the bill is shorter
than the range of confinement currently available for defendants placed
on deferred adjudication community supervision. The bill could decrease
the demand for county jail space and result in savings for local
government.
