Carter, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: HB1510 by Yarbrough (Relating to investigatory interviews for certain fire fighters.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** Local Government Impact The bill would require a fire department that is conducting a meeting or hearing for an internal investigation of or to consider firing a fire fighter, to provide the fire fighter with documents relating to the hearing at least 48 hours prior to the meeting or hearing. The department would also be required to allow the fire fighter to have certain representatives present. Costs that would be incurred by the department would be for copying documents and would be absorbed into normal expenditures.
