The bill would provide for filings of notice of legal separation. If
neither of the parties to the marriage file suit for dissolution of
marriage before the first anniversary of the date the notice of legal
separation was filed, the separation would be dissolved. Any additional
paperwork for clerks of court resulting from the provision of this bill
could be reasonably absorbed within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
