Smithee, Chair, House Committee on Insurance FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: HB1610 by Averitt (Relating to data on mandated health benefits and mandated offers of coverage that must be collected and reported by health benefit plan issuers.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** The bill adds a new subchapter to the Insurance Code to require any issuer of a health benefit plan to collect and report cost and utilization data for each mandated health benefit. The Employees Retirement System estimates that it would require a computer programmer 24 hours to develop and 40 hours to print and test a report for each mandate.
