The bill expands the exemptions from the Texas Academic Skills Program to
include students who transfer from out of state with at least 60
semester credit hours from a baccalaureate institution. This exemption
is not expected to impact the number of students taking developmental
education, so there would be no significant fiscal impact.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
