The bill would increase the amount of statutory damages available in
actions for the interception of communications. The bill would provide
for statutory damages in an amount of at least $5,000 but less than or
equal to $10,000 for each occurance.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
